Thanks for the review, I was looking at these and wondering how good they are.
I appreciate this review. I have had my eye on those. I will put it somewhere else.
I finally got a set of those Duralast 36T ratchets back in December for $40 shipped. This set is included 1/4″ and 1/2″ and both size in flex head. Great ratchets! the 1/4″ seem a little tight though on the back drag.
I also picked up a 1/2″ Powerbuilt…which is also fantastic. The reverse lever is so easy to hit! Just like you said.
I have an Ace Professional 3/8″ coming in too. Im interested in seeing what kind of mechanism that one has internally.
The novelty of these ceramics is interesting but I just can’t see the appeal over typical steel.
Most “dulling” of fine-edge kitchen knives is from the edge folding over, not chipping. A few strokes on a chef’s steel when you take it out of the drawer brings it right back. It’s really not an inconvenience for the quality of edge you end up with even with lower-quality metals. Plus there’s no micro razor chips in your food…
Ceramic seems even worse for outdoor tools. A bent/dented blade can be straightened/resharpened. A snapped blade is useless.
nice video. i was always curious about those. i would never buy them but i wanted too just to see what they were about.
