Shun Classic 7 Inch Vegetable Cleaver — Review and Information. — Insane Discount on the Shun Classic 7″ Vegetable Cleaver.

This is a video where I show off the Shun Classic 7″ Vegetable Cleaver and explain its features.

Essentially, the Shun Classic is the “foundation” or “go-to” of the Shun line. It uses VG-MAX Steel (~61 Hardness) sharpened to a 16 degree angle. On top of that, it has 34 layers of steel folded on each side (68 layers total!), giving it a beautiful damascus design.

The Classic line also has an extremely ergonomic, “D-Shaped” handle that fits great into right and left hands, reducing fatigue.

It’s a very quick video of the knife, just to give you an idea of what it looks like and what it is all about.

NOTE: I’ll be making quick videos showing all of the different knives and comparing the various lines of Shun to not only other brands, but each other as well!

Michael Sadler says:

I have one of these, amazing knife, only really use other knives for specific things

luvjoisey says:

A video of it actually cutting something would be appreciated. Like a tomato, and winter squash.

Frank Liu says:

I chop ribs with this all the time, just make sure the it’s not frozen and shit

C D Kennedy says:

That knife will cut meat as long as it doesn’t have bones in it, such as slicing meat, but in the right hands it will debone a chicken no problem, however that task is better done with a boning knife. Just saying

SIMO says:

Would this hold up to heavy use in a commercial kitchen?

Tor-L says:

Here you go again with your nonsense… How much money do you get payed for your fake vids?? Every vids you make is misleading folks that not to much about knifes and steel. Jerk…..
