A new Spyderco Sage for 2016! I review the just upgraded Spyderco Sage 5 featuring carbon fiber wrapped G10 and a compression lock. The Sage 5 features a 3 inch blade made from a satin finished CPM S30V, and a deep carry wire frame pocket clip- making it a good choice for an EDC knife.
Check out my follow up to this review, where I add additional thoughts about the Sage 5, as well as make some jokes:

dont feel bad i just spent $152.50 US on a spyderco. at least that one is japanese made though 😀
The Endura is a huge knife, just realized watching this one!
The humor is strong with this one…just subbed! Lol
Great review man.
Did i see the Nitecore Thumb or TIP at the beginning ?!
ok
Do your neighbors know that you are in fact THE Advanced Knife Bro? Or are they just going : “why the f**k is that guy chopping on those damn sticks everyday!? And whats up with all the damn flashlights, whats wrong with Maglite!?” 😀 Anyways, nice review! One of these days im gonna have to get a Spyderco, and this might be the one.
Now that you’ve got a PM2 how do you think this compares? Is it worth the $10 premium over the PM2 if you want the smaller blade?
“What does Diderot have to say about the Sage 5.”
You, sir, have earned a subscriber.
Awesome review! check out my vids too?
I really like your review style and the sage 5 looks like a great blade.
Maybe it’s just me, but I find spyderco’s s30v better than most. Btw, very nice knife
Spyderco Delica 4 is hard to beat, but I am so tempted to buy this one.
Damn, just bought the PM2, the Manix 2 now I want one of these…can you pls be a little less convincing next time ? Great review.
That’s a nice knife you got. I have the Manix 2 XL and considered getting one of the sage releases to have a smaller version of the Manix XL. The S30V was wicked sharp when I got it and has remained scary sharp over 8 months of light to moderate use. I notice that Ganzo knives are top-end clones FOR THE MONEY but Spyderco still does a job of letting you know where that extra money went. I got the Manix 2 XL clone and thought it was pure garbage compared to the original, at least the one I got. Thanks for showing your new sharp AF knife. It looks like a good one.
I like that you like others that like it too. Interesting that the carbon fiber actually has texture to it. Didn’t know that. Thanks!
HaHa another good review…. Sharp A F
Great review, M. Just bought one as well!
Lol this guy is funny… And I paid 180 for my sage back in the day… Doh!
You are correct. Spyderco is best.
Lighting sucked at the beginning, should be better next time
Kickass review bro do a bunch more
I didn’t like Spyderco knives until I bought one, now I can’t live without them. Awesome product.
First time seeing one of your videos. Great job ! Lots of info, straight to the point, lots of facts, some funny comments. No endless dribble ! Keep up the great vids. Thank you.
You sincerely need to master the Spyderco Middle Finger Flick, for added panache and that element of danger.
Lol that was a great review ! Funny as hell. You should do a Nick shabaaz voice next time!
how nice of u to get me the knife i been Wanting!!!
I’ve always felt like this channel is an alt account for H3H3. Has a similar feel. Great content as usual
Ooow I like it. Reminds me of my Spyderco/Byrd Tern a lot, well the wire pocket clip anyway. Loving the cinematic lighting effect at the beginning, it really set the tone for another hands on knife review. Enjoyed watching as always, ATB.
After playing with that wood at the end, how was the blade sharpeness like? Maybe you could show us the sharpness when factory new and after some use.
Would you substitute your endura for it though?
