Thanks
Nice knife
I had the opportunity to handle one. Super comfortable and I agree on the sheath. The price is steep on this one. $190 for a s30v foxed is steep. Survive knives are in that range and offer 3v. I’d like to see it more around the $125 mark
does this knife have a sharp spine / 90 degree? would it work for shaving fat wood / ferro rod?
How does the texture compare to esee scales
90 degree spine?
Nice review Rev, keep’em coming !!
Hey Rev. I was wondering if you think it could be a neck knife? Would it be too big or heavy? Or do you think it could work?
Can you make a comparison of this to some of your other knives?
Thanks for reviewing this – so few “knife guys” review fixed blade hunting knives, and I’m always looking for something new. A few comments tho… I know, I know – can’t do it now – season’s over, but I really like to have hands on reviews after actually cleaning a deer with a knife: 1) mostly I like the blade shape but might want a little more drop in the point when opening up a deer, thoughts? Also I typically pull a knife up through the sternum to get into the chest, and sometimes on a small deer go through a hip joint. From what I hear (but don’t know as fact) S30V is “chippy” – I really would like to have info on how it deals with something as tough as bone before laying out Benchmade kind of $$$! 3) how controllable is it when changing grips with wet hands in the cavity? 4) how easy is it to clean the inevitable gunk from those handle holes? I think I might prefer some other construction. 5) Noting I’m not a huge fan of a leather sheath for a hunting knife – though most of mine have leather, I have had to come to carrying a plastic bag to store the “icky” knife as opposed to “greasing up” the sheath – not easy to clean afterwards! Would love to see these kind of issues brought up in future hunting knife videos, but keep up the good work!
