Dang, first kitchen knife in a while that got me excited. Well done, Derrick. I’ve been tempted to get a Fallkniven Chef Knife. Now I have to make a decision.

BD1 is equivalent to Hitachi Gin 1 with trace amounts of Vanadium added for edge stability.
I just got in the 8 inch and 3 inch… Your comments were spot on Derrick. The fit finish is great. The grind, however, is VERY uneven and lopsided worst i have ever seen in a knife.. it is however insanely sharp..
This is not standard BD1 steel but BD1N where some carbon have been changed for nitrogen so will never rust whatever you do with it.
