Need the knife for work pick me

Quoc-Liem Vu says:

What are your thoughts on the Victorinox 8 Inch Fibrox Pro Chef’s Knife?

Jim Lee says:

Enjoyed your review of the Kuma chef. Quite supprised to see the sharpness out of the box so to speak. Your right with the fit and finish not being spot on, but heck $20? Just found your channel and have enjoyed what I see. FYI. I’m fella that loves to cook, and loves cooking with fun knives and yes even sharpening them. Keep up the good work brother! BTW that knife in my profile pic is a custom that I worked on several years ago.

rui guerra says:

Guys, help me out, is skin pulling sharper than shaving?

processbird _17 says:

Really great review. I had seen this knife recently when I was looking for a new chef knife, but was skeptical. Good to see that it actually holds up. I bought a Mac Chef Series 8.5″ guyoto in the end. I like the Mac enough to keep it, but I will probably buy more knives. I think you understand. Keep making great vids!

Mickey Bauer says:

Where do you buy the $20 Kuma, i don’t see it available anywhere?

ryan celata says:

can I sharpen a knife like this on the standard steel post sharpener

Ricky Latapie says:

Greetings from England. Love your videos. Found you by chance after looking for reviews on the Dalstrong Shogun 8 Inch Chefs knife. Great review of that knife you did. Thank you very much for the time and effort that you put into the reviews. It is a real gift to us that you share your time, knowledge and experience.

Can’t find a seller that sells the Kuma in the UK 🙁
Would you be able to recommend something as nice (even if more expensive) that I could find in the UK?

WoDABDC says:

They use 3Cr13, which is a fairly soft steel with a carbon content of less than 0.35%, that’s why it’s so easy for you to put an edge on it. But edge retention is likely going to be pretty poor unless they heat treat it properly. Even then, it still wouldn’t be great. This is low-end steel and is probably not worth the price when there are knives on amazon made with better steel for the same or a lower price.

Veracity Soul says:

Thank you, I really enjoyed the video and I’m definitely buying the better stone; because overall I have a set of Wüsthof Classic after seeing the great which test I just want the best I believe it can only improve the edge. Thank you
I like the longer video because you can actually see the entire process from beginning to the end you cannot receive a better comparison stenograph video to video so I would vote for the longer video that more complete video thank you.

pureforce56 says:

Is it shocking?

Humberto Rojas says:

=( Kuma Chef Knife is currently unavailable. After watching your review I must have one.

Kingturtle says:

Try Kiwi knives!! The best of the best China town kitchen supply store knives. If you want real cheap knives you can’t beat a $5 Kiwi.

Shane Singleton says:

Great video. I hit up Kuma for the code, worked fine on Amazon. Should have my Kuma in a few days!

Chris Chang says:

i just bought myself t he myabi evo nakri, which is great; but I got to check it out for 25 bucks

Shawn Stewart says:

This is the first video of yours I have watched in a long time. You’ve come a long way, my friend.

frepi says:

The Kuma 8″ knife price is closer 80$ right now

Justin Kashtock says:

Currently, Amazon retailers approved by Kuma are selling this knife for ~$55. I have yet to see it even on 3rd party Amazon and ebay sites for less than $35.

Kevin Dix says:

Victorinox makes really good budget knifes. ( This brand makes the famous swiss knifes )

Bill Moss says:

Great review. Just ordered one. How often does one sharpen (I know use plays a role) But w/ standard home use. Lets say prep of 4 or 5 meals in a week, how often would you recommend sharpening the knife?

btfrenchy says:

Just bought this knife thanks to this review. I appreciate good cutlery however I don’t want to spend a ton of money. If this knife is half as good as you and the reviews say then this is a steal. Thank you!

ktkace says:

I could use a knife in the kitchen that me and my mum can use 🙂

ara mieg says:

it looks beautiful. I would love to have that knife. it would be the best knife that I would own. non of my knives can do that. please consider me

Hi, I am Hsiang Lin from Malaysia. Just found your channel, really like your video, I learn a lot. Looking to buy a Kuma Chef Knife but it show “Currently unavailable” in Amazon.

Mech0z says:

Possible to buy it in Europe?

Squidgy Bidge says:

Looks like a decent budget knife. LOL I’ll try to enter just incase you haven’t drawn all the winners yet, but given the timeframe I won’t hold my breath.

nariga9 says:

@Burrfection , I had entered and received codes for a 20% discount coupon for the Kuma knife. And when I went to Amazon to buy the knife, it showed that the the item was no longer in stock and not sure if it would ever be in the stock in the future. Anyone has the same issue as I do 🙂

John Huynh says:

I liked this. You should do “Affordable Friday” where you review knives for home users

Forrest Shalom says:

I wish to be considered for you Kuma knife giveaway! I will use the knife to cut Mennonite Cheese for my cheese stand business in El Paso, Texas. Thank you. https://elpaso.craigslist.org/grd/6057863341.html

Laurie Ledbetter says:

Really great video. I became a cook after a TBI that in a way dumbed me down to the simple needs. The only thing I can do was cook. Even though it produced anxiety cooking large quantities of food I pushed through. I discovered I am a very good soup cooker and people loved my soups. I started in a Co op and now am trying to venture on my own. Still dealing with the TBI, but one step at a time. I discovered your video looking for cheap but good knives. I think I will go the cheap knife and more expensive stone. If your still doing drawings please enter my name!:)

justmegil says:

hey appreciate your channel, would love a chance on getting a Kuma, I would love to see your top 5 low price and top 5 high end knife choice…

Hansen Lienardi says:

Nick Young says:

Thinking of buying some sharpening stones and would love to try out the Kuma! Very cool of them to send 16 to give away to your subscribers! Count me in!

Cristian Mendoza says:

Hello there! I just recently found your channel and love everything I’ve seen so far. Super informative and great for making choices in my gear. I just recently decided to leave college so that I can pursue my passion in cooking. I’m currently working and trying to save up so that I can buy some gear to start my culinary journey. If you have any of these knives left, I would be so grateful to be chosen to receive one. It would really help me kickoff my new life!

Daniel Schlegel says:

i’m thinking to get a relatively cheap carbon-steel chefknife haha

JPM.Cuisine says:

This is one of the best, if not the best, knife on the block at this price! I absolutely love this one.

Fredric Kirchner says:

Hi. Just subscribed to your channel. I use all Shun knives, so I know about the importance of good quality knives. Most of the knives in the set cost 160.00 or more. Can you tell me how you rate Shun knives among the various brands that you have tried. I assume that you must have crossed paths with Shun, in your research.

xabc1 says:

Very knice. Lol
