This is a jungle survival and warfare blade similar in shape to the famous Bolo designs popular in the Pacific Theatre in WWII. This blade is one quarter inch thick at the spine, but thins quickly via the full flat grind to form a fairly fine edge, the geometry produces a sharper blade than most other TOPS knives arrive with. This knife comes with a TOPS whistle and a TOPS ALRT XL Utility fixed blade.

I don’t get why tops does not offer some better sheaths so that you could just directly get a full package…I want to get this blade but I would have to find someone to make a custom sheath for it and that’s a pain and costs a lot…a basic condor like leather sheath would be killer…just add $40 to the price
can you do a review of the TOPS M4x punisher?
Thanks, I will check them out!
only add mi name alberto
Thank you. I think you hit all the main points exactly right!
of all the knives I have test against my Power Eagle in chopping ability, edge durability and toughness, only a Condor Village Parang equaled her. The Power Eagle is a paragon chopper and well worth the money. The only let down is the factory sheath (not very high quality) and the shock cord on the handle, remove it straight away and replace with a paracord over-the-thumb lanyard.
Look like a nice blade, but $160 for this, vs $40-50 for a Condor? No way I could justify even considering this one:-/
You have the best knife channel, I love it!
They should hook a brother up LOL
LOL thanks. As you heard, there was some kind of drunken party down the street and occasional drunk people yelling at the top of their lungs LOL
that alert knife… doesn’t gavkoo make something almost identical? His Wigydashi?
Thanks, David!
I don’t know why but I love that sound a knife makes when it cuts wood
Hell yeah lol
To be honest, I thought the Power Eagle was kinda light for it’s size, when I first got mine. It really has proven, to me, to be a very capable large knife. The Power Eagle is becoming one of my favorites as a large camping/survival type of knife. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
does it feel good in the hand? is the handle comphy?
This or the esee junglas?
what a great great Knife!
Which one chops better if I may ask? It looks like they weigh the same?
this things looks cool, but i couldn’t ever afford it.
Thanks, bro! I’m glad to hear you like TOPS, I know you have a lot of bushcrafting experience behind your assessments.
Dude u really have somthing against those trees
Yes it would. This was actually a couple weeks ago, since then we had a sh*tload of thunderstorms!
honestly TOPS knives are just way overpriced for their performance.
This, first :]
I have tested the Power Eagle on 4″ pine boards against many knives and the only one that equals it is the Condor Village Parang, full flat grind is the reason for this, a flat grind chops (penetrates into wood) better then another grind from what I have seen. The TOPS Power Eagle is the top-of-the-line in machete’s, expensive but very good.
thanks Alberto :]
you need a large chuck of wood like in karate kid part2 , where they go practice on it
Yes I will, I’ve had that one for a while
Do you know how much this cost? Is it on amazon?
about $165, at Knifeworks
