OKC (Ontario Knife Company) has a strong reputation and diverse product line. Their blades are a good mixture of reasonable price and high quality. Many of their blades are designed for military use and general outdoors use. They use 1095 or 5160 Carbon steel in most of their fixed blades. Known for their fixed blades, they have also produced one of the most popular budget-priced folding knives in recent years, the Ontario RAT1 Folder. Their line of machetes uses 1095 steel and are thicker than most Latin-style machetes, which adds to their utility in forest settings, while the price is very reasonable. Some of their products, such as the Pilot Survival Knife and Navy MK3 Knife have decades of service history backing them up. Overall, this is an excellent cutlery company that can compete head-to-head with companies like Ka-bar and ESEE.

I got a nice leather sheath for it and it looks great when I carry it.
That was one great video & you have an awesome collection of Ontario knives! I see a couple on there I may have to investigate further. Looking forward to more Vids like this for sure.
i notice your collection still doesn’t feature the wonderful SP-41 Gen II (5160)
hey buddy, love the knives, u have one of the best collections going!!
Great video!
I am shocked that there wasn’t some douchebag who asked “what song and artist was that in the beginning?” Hahaha, as if the song was of any significance.
Full tang only way to go.
Underrated, excellent prices, well built. Ontario is probably my favorite working blade companies.
nice video looking forward to more like it
my phone sucks!
this is a Question that may not make any since at all but can ya blend a stainless steel and a 1051 carbon steel to make the stainless stronger and to make it to where this carbon is easier to clean and to stay clean?
Very nice collection, and very nice video for the rest of us who consider an OKC knife 🙂
thank you
Very enjoyable video and very well done: looking forward to more of these videos in the future.
Cool rundown of your Ontario’s, sensei. /
You need an Ontario kukri!! They’re inexpensive, and need reprofiling, but are great for US made 1095!!!!!!
I was told that the pilot survival knife was used in World War One. Lemme know if I’m wrong.
Geez Israel you have a big O.K.C. collection, mine look’s small compare to yours, I have the leather handle pilot knife, the Ranger RD- 9 and the Ranger Afghan both in 5160 both with the high visual orange handle, a 18″ military issue machete, and a Blackie Collins heavy use d-ring 24″ machete, and my Gen2 SP – 47, 49, 51, 53. and a Ranger T.F.I. A nice 5″ bush craft knife. Oh yeah a Blackbird SK-5 and a vintage 4″ SP knife that has a sharp end false edge booth /fighting knife look’s like a vintage SP series I think in 1095. The Blackbird, SP-51, 53 and the T.F.I are used alot or parts of combo’s, ofcorce my Sp-53 is my Sharp Hamer and the SP-51 is my go to when I know I will be batoning alot of wood to get to the dry stuff. they are great knives, their not the most expensive but some aren’t cheap either but I think their great knives.
Hi, Israel, nice video … I would like to see a review for Ontario Kukri machete from you ! … and why not a comparison video! Thank you …
Any where I can get that Karambit for cheap
I really enjoy this type of video. I especially like the fact that you linked to the Amazon pages AND to the videos of the individual knives. Good work!
Coincedental timing, I ordered an SP5 just yesterday.
I really love this style of video! please keep them coming! u r right, that sp-53 is hard to beat.
Love the SP10. I’ve got three.
I have a Mklll mod o that is at least 10 yrs old. I have owned at least 20 pilot knives I gave them away as beaters. all solid value. be well bro
you should try baryonyx double edge machete
Just bought the SP-1 today, overall thoughts on it? (It looks and feels AMAZING, espically since i put a razor sharp edge on it)
This is like a porno 30 seconds in I already jized myself and now feel guilty…love Ontario great company. I hope you been well brother I just got some new steel you might like. I got 2 Openels and a wenger evo16 and a swiss champ
Oops my Blackie Collins is a 22″ d-ring 1095 Machete, and it is heavy duty.
I recently picked up a RAT Model 1, and HOLY SCHNIKES! I’m in love, by far my favorite EDC I’ve ever carried (I’ve carried for 16+ yrs). I prefer my RAT to knives that we price much higher than my OKC RAT 1.
They’re a great company. They match the ability of their competitors products while being about 20% cheaper and having the same materials. The RTAK2 vs the Esee Junglas is a good example of this
Great video. And the way you made it. I have the 50 my self, and as u said, they are workhorses.
I have a sp tanto 10. any idea where to find a replacement sheath?
I just got the 499 AFSK, and it’s amazing. it will be my EDC blade for as long as it lasts, then I may just buy another.
Great vid. The MK3 is on my shopping list. There is something about this knife that brings back memories and history of our great nation. I have all the smaller blades you show. as far as the bigger blades I have the SP10. Hell of a chopper and decent defense in a pinch.
Hey Buddy long time no talk to, hope all’s well.
this was an awesome vid. I loved hearing your thoughts on the Ontario line as a whole as well as specifics of each. fascinating stuff…if your ever in the Minneapolis area, let me know I’ll buy you supper and pick your brain.
you may want to give a gander an the new LA Police gear knives that just came out. I’d love to hear your opinion on some sub-$20 platforms.
plastic insert tip take it out and heat up one edge tell soft then mash down add glue
where needed replace holder stop the wiggles flopping round should work on most rak rtac
Long live the awesome SP10 Marine Raider Bowie, and the Ontario Kukri!
My Ontario Bowie is the knife i use for everything from self-defence too circumcisions, not usually at the same time tho……greatest knife for $75 you will find.
I have $250 blades that i pass over for Big Black Bastard Bowie.
It’ll do everything you need and a heck of a lot more.
My favourite single handed bladed weapon by far!
I recently got an RD-6,the 1/4” thick in 5160.I took it in the woods for the 3rd time yesterday.Man,that thing is a beast and can handle all the wood processing in the world, the heavy stuff as well as the shaving and feathering.Even if it’s a handle heavy kinda knife it did very well with all my chopping chores.Holds an edge like no others and the tip is probably indestructible, lol. The only flaws to this knife is the shitty sheath it came with ha.
What’s hat karambit called????
a lot of nice blades (^_-)
enjoy your day man
hard to beat an Okc
I have a spec-plus Tanto and the Spec-plus Survival and love them. The survival has helped me clear much brush and gather much firewood. The has also see much use over the 20 or so years I’ve had it and its as good now as it was when I bought it.
