I went to cabelas last weekend an held that knife..I like how the sedge is sharp…it is a good knife an it really feels good in yo hand…it gives you confidence in it..
Interesting, it looks like the same blade but with a rounded handle for bigger hands, cool.
Thanks for the review. It’s $46 at Amazon and that’s a pretty good price for this much knife. I like the fact that it’s full tang and carbon steel.
Thanks, brother T! I do have that one, probably not going to review it though but I bet you’ll do a good review of it, I bet it would be useful for bushcraft too.
where can iget one?
Glad you found a blade for you, Alberto!
Ontario makes a good inexpensive knife. The one I have has held up really well. I just wish they would make the handle a little bigger. Thanks Israel!!
Ordered this and an SP53 today, slowly but surely getting the whole SP lineup.
Sweet blade man. Great review as usual!
Great knife I have owned 3 gave 2 away as gifts. I also have the SP 43 I don’t like it as much it’s 5160 and I had it chip real bad on a coconut. The SP 6 didn’t have any damage after the coconut. You can check it out if you want. My old channel IronMonkeyZ title Fruit Massacre. Great vids as usual peace Bro!
I LOVE the Spec Plus Gen II SP’s. I’ve been looking into the sp50. what is the length of the sp 43? the sp 6?
I actually have a USMC Kabar. I bought it at a flea market for around $30.
It is a great line of blades, they are both 8 inches blade length
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for your review of the SOG Vulcan Tanto, I watched it and ordered it after. A really awesome knife!
As i said, you have all the cool stuff:)
+++++
I got this as a “second” on ebay for about $30. It just had some overspray of the blade coating, which was easily sanded off. Great knife. It’s really light and quick in the hand. Thanks for the review.
Hopefully my paycheck will allow me to purchase this.
Yeah but it costs about 270 USD in Austria -.-
Do you prefer the SP6 or SP43?
hmmm if i brake my ka bar then i think ill give it a try. never had a Ontario knife before. kind of hate the sheath tho
Thanks, I agree
Sweet deal there!
i like the ff6 better, with steel guard, steel pommel and round handle.
Thanks, yeah the SP-43 is a bit thin compared to other FFG drop points like the RAT-7, its like weaker in survival but faster/lighter.
Thanks, AF!
Ka Bar is the true and tested combat knife. Cold Steel imitates it with the new leatherneck even more then they did before.
ALso I think the SP6 might be 5160 while the FF6 is 1095. FF6 is an older design. I like them both. I think the handle on the SP6 might be more comfortable, bu tI like the metal pommel on the FF6. You mean this O’l man got one up on the WEBLO Boyscout.Go figiure it. It will only happen once in 100 years.
That’s the kind of knife that I like… A combatfighter knife.
Got it at Knifesupply, hope that helps!
Not Impressed. I seriously doubt anyone in the Military who’s life may depend on the quality of their knife would cary this one. It may be OK for the price, but if you’re looking for a knife that you can trust, I wouldn’t recommend this one. I threw mine at a tree a few times, after about the 10th time I noticed the handle had bent drastically, so if you needed to pry something open, the handle would probably fail you. If you want anything worth a dern these days you are going to have to spend $100+
Thanks, Condor buddy! Good good.
Really, really like this one.
I almost bought this one a while ago. But I saw teh FF6. I like it better because it has metal finger guards. But this is a great knife. A little lighter than the FF6. SP6 has a lanyard hole. FF6 has a metal pommel. Check out the FF6 and let me know what you think. I will buy one of these soon. I would like to get an opinion on both. By the way, they have shitty sheaths. Good vid.
Just ordered one because I’m dissatisfied with the length of my SOG Gov Tac. Similar blade design, just thicker without a sharpened clip. Plus I prefer my knife made in America.
IDK what you are talking about the sheath for my sp-8 was nice, half real leather half cordura with special buttons.
I really like these SP knives from Ontario. I have the SP-10 Marine Raider and it’s a beast!
Glad you dig it, bro!
Heh heh you said pull out lol. I was looking at this one on knife center. This is next on my wish list after I get a few guns. Thanks for the review 🙂
could t find it i did find here in the netherlands than its around 70 80 85 euro
That’s true but I think cold steel admits they are basing it on the Ka-bar
Heck of a toad sticker! Ontario looks to make tough knives, but they do seem to skimp on the sheaths, but for the price … very cool.
They are good and good prices too, I’ve had an SP-43 for a long time now, I’ll review it soon.
