Your name should be Bo, because you don’t know diddley.

Adrian Boyle says:

You made it reall, when you said it was hairloom quality. That’s what makes the difference to me.

I understand carving shld be for a “Jack” knife but what if you want your “Jack” knife to be a mora? I watched your awesome prepper speech vid and see why you think like they did in the 1800’s now… But what if you had 2 belt knives? 1 butcher and one light weight carving knife and still have a good pocket knife probly a cpl 3 and a neck knife and axe. But why is it never said why 2 belt knives are a good or bad idea? Since we dont have to trade our unborn child for one and we all have or should have more than one knife… I say put 2 knives side by side on your belt… One for business and one for play?

Howdy Dave…. Don’t know if you ever heard of this knife maker from Ireland butt I think the first impression is totally awesome beautiful craftsmanship!

Dutch Bushcraft says:

So he’s so convinced about all these qualities a survival knife should have and is now promoting Mora. :) What a fraud.

Douglas McIntyre says:

Definitely a great OTO from BHK, now available without sheath at Dave’s store, or at the BHK website, for about $200. Sheath plus/minus ferro rod loop are extra of course. Personally I like their deluxe leather + dangler sheath option for about $40. For those with $$$ to burn, buy the deluxe Kydex sheath, priced at a staggering $70.

Dave I hand forge all my own high carbon steel knifes and would trust my life on the quality and functionality. btw I’m only 16 and live in ohio as well.

Lets Bouncetrudeau2018 says:

Kabar BK2 for the coming apocalypse!

Greg's Country Cabin Outdoors says:

I am fortunate, I did some blacksmithing in the past, and was able to make a really nice knife out of an old file. can be used as striker, I have field dressed a deer with it, and put a para chord handle on it. has 4 ft. of para chord. Is strong enough to baton if needed.

hhyyuu667 says:

Would a Scandi grind on a knife such as the LT wright or battle horse bush knives hold up in a survival situation? I’m on the fence about Scandi grinds but really want one.

Bill Randall says:

I’ll take a modified Crunch multi-tool over any fixed blade knife, any day, cause it can do so much more. It can hold a silky saw blade in its visegrip, for starters, pair it with a Cold steel shovel, way more versatile than any axe, big or folding saw, hatchet or machete. Survival often means digging, , moving snow, etc, and you wont be doing any of that with the aforementioned tools.

Steve Smith says:

Do this video today, and he’d disregard everything he’s been teaching about knives over the years and say his best survival knife is one of his Moras. He sold out and it’s a shame.

Steve buckskinner 54 says:

Hey Dave….. Are you familiar with ML knives? A little spendy but not much more or less then Battlehorse knives. They’re really nice and can be used for reenactment and all around Bushcraft. He has quite a number of designs. His special order stuff can be very spendy but rightfully so. If you haven’t heard of them before, ya-autta look them up for kicks and giggles and check out some of the knives he has forged. Very nice! God bless!
P.S.
I do heavy a Jeff White Busch knife I absolutely love that I got from your store. In fact I have quite a number of kives but the Bush knife has become one of my favorites.
