The Tangram Knives Santa Fe Pocketknife: A Quick Shabazz Review

Today, we’ll take a look at a very nice, near-gem budget choice from Kizer knives’ Budget Division, the Tangram Santa Fe.

Here’s a link to the knife on Amazon. Using this link supports the channel:

Mohamed Shwesh says:

i kinda wanna hear nick saying while comparing knives ergonomic : “this knife fits my hand better than this one does”

cameron williams says:

I actually really love the Orion

XnMojo says:

love the color of the scales. purchased, thanks.

Walter W says:

“Demerit,” “belabor” slow down there Shakespeare! 😀

Nicholas Wilson says:

Given my experience with the Kizer V3 Vigour I really wish they would make Tangrams available in the U.K. because I’d really like to get my hands on this one.

pzcanada says:

That’s a really nice blade. I’m a knife newb, and if you said this was a 400 dollar premium, I would have believed you.

Nasty Renegade says:

Half the world can’t buy it because of Amazon….So I’m moving on. Great knife and great review though.

Ken Kelley says:

Thin, light, and very smooth. Your lock stick may vary, mine has none and mine disengages easily. Lose the clip and it disappears in your pocket and works better in your hand,

Shrabsters says:

The Santa Fe is my favorite budget knife by far. Great materials and construction (well, mine didn’t have lock stick) for the price.

Harry Wright says:

What a good time for us budget guys thanks Nick good review as always. Have you tried honeybadger, comes in 3 sizes. The only neg. I find is 8cr. It is so quality crafted for 27-29 bucks I can handle that.Harry

Andrew Greiner says:

I have one of these and theres no lockstick at all so maybe its just yours…

The Judge K says:

Hi Nick, what do you think about the Reate Starboy!?

Taylor Fiolek says:

Civivi knives next? Can stick with the theme of budget sub-brands of the big companies. At just $12 more than the tangrams, looking the way they do and with a WE action my first thought would be that WE might have just blow Kizer out of the water in terms of budget knives. But I havent handled either so hard to say for sure

Mike J says:

i love the blade shape on this

Bakken Cutter says:

Benchmade bugout’ish with a different blade shape

srg914 says:

I like it a lot, especially for $30. No lock stick on mine. But Nick, you made a quick comment that the jimping is good. For anyone considering buying this knife, please note that the thumb jimping is absolutely useless. It sits below the level of the scales. Still get a good purchase thanks to the ergos and nicely textured g10.

Sam Alpert says:

This knife design, compression lock, upgrade steel. Make it happen Spyderco!

Michael Moore says:

With all the new budget knives on the market, is there a chance of a Budget Knife Showdown Part 2: Electric Boogaloo?

Ron L says:

Nick, I own the Tangram Amarillo and it uses ball bearing in the pivot. I love th knife because it functions so flawlessy and it fun to flick. I like the drop point blade and the G10 is grippy enough for me. It seems odd that this closely related blade rides one bronz washers. I didn’t buy that model because I live in San Diego, Ca. 3″ is the legal limit, as you are aware.

DMS Paracording says:

An aesthetically pleasing knife, but, for me, too thin in hand. I sold it without remorse. Pick up a Sanrenmu LAND 910 PLUS with G10 instead! :-)

Steve Jones says:

reminds me of a budget three rivers’ neutron.

Rick Temmen says:

Looks like an Ozark trail from Walmart lol … I’m so over these folders … You make it interesting though … Thanks Nick

Randall Wessar says:

Nick I like the Tangram Santa FE knife but I wish it had D2 steel blade, that be a perfect EDC

Shiddha says:

i dont know if that blade shape has other name but it looks a lot like a viking seax, maybe with a curvier belly

Looks like a new purchase for me.

Barry Hemmy says:

Great knife.I wish they had other colours for the handles(I do not like the brown colour) and a larger blade. Great review Nick!!!
